I wanted the opportunity to reach others for Christ and show them how God can use them.

3. Best aspect of Above and Beyond?

Besides the dunking and fun times it is great to be surrounded by other Christians who are there to help each other grow in Christ.

4. Favorite ministry experience?

My first ministry at a public school in February of 06 is definitely my favorite in all aspects even though is was quite stressful and I missed half of my dunks.

5. How do you prepare yourself for a ministry?

Prayer, for those who are going to be watching and also for my fellow teammates as we all need our strength to come from Christ in order to be affective. Also I read scripture so that my mind is focused on God.

6. At least 3 people that have influenced you the most?

Jesus Christ, My dad Sam Waddell, Greg Miller

7.  How & Why did you decide to give you life back to Christ?

When I was 5 years old my mother was very involved in Vacation Bible School (VBS) at our church. She made sure that I was always there on time and had my Bible verses memorized. There was an altar call every night after the message and it was about that time that I really began to think about what Christ had done for me in my life. I went forward and received the gift of salvation. I did not live a life that was pleasing to God. At school with my friends I would say and do things that did not show the love of Christ in my life. After my family and I moved onto the mission field in Guatemala I began to see what it was all about. It took me several years to start to fully grasp what it meant to give my entire life to Christ and I am still overcoming obstacles everyday in my walk with Him.

8. How have you grown since joining Above and Beyond?

I feel as though I have grown spiritually as we traveled and dunked or spoken in different places. Fellowship with my teammates has really helped me to continue in my walk with Christ.

9. What aspect of the Above and Beyond life still challenges you the most?

Everyday I struggle with making sure that I am staying in God’s word and living a life that honors God.

10. Where do you see God calling you?

I want to do whatever God has planned for me. I would love to work in missions but I know that whatever His plan is I will do my best to live for Him in a way that others will see the love and grace that He has for us.

11. What is your vision for Above and Beyond’s future?

To see the ministry to continue to grow and reach people for Christ. A&B has definitely had a positive affect on many young people’s lives and that is just an incredible thing to be able to do. I see A&B becoming a fine instrument for God to use it’s members to accomplish great things for His kingdom.
